Jackson came over to play!!

Oh my goodness. Jackson is growing and changing very fast now.
He is doing the army crawl very quickly, so we really have to watch him
a lot closer.
He is also a big tease....I held out my hands to take him from Jen and he pushed
me away. We tested it again and he did the same thing. He held his arms out for Craig though.
I fed him some ice cream after dinner, maybe he will change his mind. :)

He loves the computer and likes to hit the keys!

Look at all the teeth. He has 10 and two more molars coming in.

Pulling my hair. I like the look on his face.

 Aren't I cute?

Now that he is mobile he keeps bumping on things. That is why he has the
bruises under his eyes!

Farm and pumpkin patch

I love surprises, so we did it again. I had a trip planned to Nashville for 6 days. I thought it would be fun to take Stacey and baby Connor with me to see Leah and the boys. (Kirk is out of town at a conference).  It was so fun seeing Leah's reaction when she saw them!!  We have had a great time so far.  Our first day, we took the boys to a farm and pumpkin patch.  With babies in the front packs and a beautiful fall day, we had such a good time with Jacob.  Last year he was just a little too young to experience it all. He loved it all!

Sisters and their babies, who are 11 days apart.
Jacob is 18 months here.
There was a fast slide that Leah and Jacob went down.
He loved it and kept wanting to do it over and over.

 All boy!
A tractor pulled these barrels around.
 Connor and mommy
We made Jacob pose on these pumpkins.
There was this large, covered area of corn. Jacob could play with trucks,
buckets and shovels.
He liked to lie down in the corn.

We are very blessed to have another grandson in our lives.  Leah had to be induced 3 weeks early again because of her blood pressure. So Craig and I hopped on a plane on Saturday, August 27th, and Luke was born on the 28th. Leah was very fortunate this time to only have a 4 1/2 hour labor!! Luke was 8 lbs. 1 oz. and 20 inches. Jacob is adjusting nicely. He is a little young to be jealous. Here are some pictures.

Mommy and Daddy take a trip!

Matthew and Jennifer are gone on a much needed vacation to Jamaica for a week.  We are so lucky that we got to take care of Jackson. He has been so much fun and quite the entertainer. He has gotten so verbal and babbles constantly. He can almost sit up by himself and LOVES to stand. Here are a few pictures. They really capture what a happy boy he is.

I am going to Nashville on Wednesday to see Jacob (and of course Leah and Kirk). 10 days after I get home they are going to drop Jacob off at our house while they go to Cabo. Can't wait!

Jackson at 9 months

Jackson is  doing so many new things that I wanted to share them. Here are a few of his most recent accomplishments;
  • He loves to stand. You can put him up next to the ottoman and he can hold on and stand by himself. He seems to be very proud of himself. He also makes his legs "stiff" to avoid being put back to a sit.
  • Jackson is very close to being able to sit up on his own.
  • He sits in a high chair to eat his solid foods.
  • Still sleeps 12 hours at night.
  • He can roll everywhere.
  • Jackson babbles and makes all the cute baby noises, dada, baba, nana.
  • Laughs hysterically when Matthew tickles him.

Jackson loves his two fingers. The minute he gets sleepy, in they go!

Here he is standing at the rocking chair.

Hanging out in his pajamas. Thanks Krista for my new pajamas!

 No words necessary.

Jacob's 1st Birthday

I had such a good time in Nashville.
Craig was able to come for Jacob's birthday,
as well as Kirk's parents.
 I love these blue eyes!

What a happy one year old!!

Mommy is helping with the candle.
He started out with some small bites.......

.....and ended with cake in his eyes and up his nose.
Straight to the bathtub.
